Twitter hivemind, I want to display a per-page hit counter in my web app, pulling data from the Google Analytics API. It seems like it would be a common use-case, but I can't find instances of anyone else doing this. Are there drawbacks I'm not seeing?https://www.indiehackers.com/post/is-this-crazy-hit-counter-pulling-from-google-analytics-eae3cdc538 …

1. Google for “Google Analytics superProxy” 2. Open their “Query Explorer” 3. Authorize it to access you GA 4. Use the form to build your query 5. Copy the URL. 6. Run corn job on your backend to fetch data from URL in step 5. At desired cadence. 7. Embed and render on your page

Having to run a whole proxy in AppEngine's kind of a pain. I tested out the regular Google Analytics Core API v4, and it wasn't too hard to use. I got it to dump the data I wanted after about an hour, so I'm moving forward using the official API.pic.twitter.com/W0wuAhMz6D
