I've tweeted for many years about how awful Richard "RMS" Stallman is - the pedophilia, the ableism, the misogyny. Inevitably, each time I do, dudes examine my receipts & then say "all those incidents are from years ago! he's changed now!" NOPE.https://medium.com/@selamie/remove-richard-stallman-fec6ec210794 …

Isn't there supposed to be a Documovie soon?

Yes. You're likely thinking of the movie staring Tom Hanks: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Beautiful_Day_in_the_Neighborhood … which is based on this article: https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/tv/a27134/can-you-say-hero-esq1198/ … I'd also recommend watching this documentary: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Won%27t_You_Be_My_Neighbor%3F_(film) … as well as reading this book:https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/38656999-the-good-neighbor …

Do. Not. If Mr. Rogers has a sordid past like some others....then the world is truly broken, and there is no redemption.
-
I interpreted the tweet from Deech to mean "the tell all where we find out how Mr Rogers secretly liked to drink a glass of scotch before bedtime"
-
Oh, me too. I was a touch hyperbolic to be sure, but the rest stands. After the revelations surrounding some of my past idols/role models, I just couldn't take it if Fred had skeletons. You know? I'm waiting for the "Breaking News" that someone somewhere heard him curse....once!
-
I know how you feel, it would totally shatter my world view. I am willing to bet Fred would have went and washed his mouth out with soap had he uttered a strong word like "damned" though... even in a literally biblical context.
