    "Customers" does not equal the number of people affected by this continued LUMA Energy failure in Puerto Rico. Nor does it emphasize the gravity of the situation for people whose lives depend upon medical support powered by electricity

    As usual, I'm curious. Were you ever taught anything about Vieques in school?

    4 years and 188 days post Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, it’s bad enough that the US mainstream media fails in overall Puerto Rico coverage, they do even less in covering Vieques, its history of being used as a US bombing range and the current hospital-less situation.

    They started giving awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Song in 1934...it never occurred to me that it wasn’t until 1972 that a Black musician/songwriter was awarded an Oscar for Best Original Song, along with becoming the first Black person to win a non-acting award

    But it wasn’t the cultural left that did ALL the associating. More powerful is the right wing echo chamber & mainstream media amplifying - sometimes exaggerating -far left position above the views of the vast majority of the party.
