Rick Shine giving a wonderful recap of his career at . Note item number 4. Not that this is why he is who he is, but it is super to see a tremendously competent male scientist reminding everyone that biases do exist.

Regardless of what you think about assisted translocations, Nicki Mitchell's talk was a tour de force on how physiological ecology can be applied to answering major important challenges in conservation. So awesome!

So jazzed about the success of our symposium and meeting on the Microhylidae yesterday. Lots of exciting plans for the future, collaborating across all continents bar Antarctica! Many experts who couldn't be there were sorely missed, but this is just the start!

We are live baby! First PhD chapter published. We investigated spatial and climate influences on nematode parasitism in tiger snakes across the SW WA. Moral of the story: lots of tiger snakes have worms, they probably come from frogs. Check it out

and I are back from our latest trip to study Cooper Creek turtles (Emydura macquarii emmottii). They aren't the most attractive but their is fascinating. They are the only turtle in this desert system.
