Astoundingly, Tsuge stopped creating manga in 1987. I asked Asakawa-san if he had any idea why a man who was passionate about exploring the boundaries of visual storytelling decided to just quit, and i never got a clear answer. Tsuge the man, like his manga, is a mystery.pic.twitter.com/TaMToKE7ab

I visited the
@ed_cornelius booth at@bdangouleme and saw this page in Shigeru Mizuki’s biography where he’s talking with Yoshiharu Tsuge (who was a peer & sometime-drawing assistant). Tsuge *does* have a long face and a middle part!pic.twitter.com/v4pndgMXwR

@AKATAmanga takes up the challenge of publishing this over-the-top story of a yakuza who gets a forced sex change & is sent to an island full of pervs(?) i think?
