As someone with ADD I would want to avoid any movie theater with subtitles. I literally can NOT watch a movie with subtitles because all I see is the words and not the movie.
Subtitles aren't just for deaf people. Lots of my hearing friends use them, too. If you're hearing and find yourself using subtitles on Netflix and TV and would quite like them at the cinema, please retweet to help normalise their presence! Big thanks #DeafAwarenessWeek

I would LOVE subtitles at the cinema omg. I saw a movie a few weeks ago and honestly I have kind of a hard time following sometimes without subtitles. I feel like I missed some stuff because of it

Around 2% of films shown in the uk per week have subtitles. At my cinema there are two showings out of 800+ and they’re on a Sunday and Tuesday

If there a phone app which will sync with a movie and provide subtitles in a font, size, and language of the user's choosing?

Wouldn’t people using their phones like that frustrate other cinema goers? Other thing to consider is phone battery life. Cinemas would need to have USB sockets in the seats or people would have to buy battery packs
