    And here's the big one: we reached one of our gamedev milestones and we have a playable game demo available for big game patrons to try out All four playable characters complete movesets are working. Available for PC and Mac users. Onto the next milestone!

    I'm prepping files for our game's first boss character. In one of his phases I planned to give him a fast reversal move (left), but I didn't like the animation and it doesn't really fit our 32-color palette limitations, so I repurposed existing assets to make it a yell!

    A new work report has been posted for patrons! This week's update talks about adding spark effects to animations, to start adding that extra pop & shine to our game sprites.

    I got the sprite layering working right so for Monday's two-shot moves I can print the muzzle flash sprite on his back hand behind the foreground arm.

    Here's a small update but I went in and added muzzle flashes to all ranged attacks. They were just drawn onto base sketch sprites before but now they're their own entities, the sizes of each flash convey how much damage they do and it's universal for all characters.

    Setting up some old friends and bringing in a new one as we start to expand our game in the engine. We're also adding a few new "getting hurt" animations to start making different attacks feel more distinct.
