So proud of you! I just got 4yr! Hey If you go to
#AA or#NA you should mention it to your fans so they all learn that they too can go to AA & have a free global support system daily if they ever want to get free of addiction too. Huge

Sober date, 6/13/13. Life is beyond my wildest dreams, everything I have ever dreamt of has come true and or have experienced in sobriety. I’d never go back to my old life even if you gave me $1000000.
-
Thank you for everyone’s support and love, I appreciate it very much and it helps to remind me that I am not alone and could not stay sober on my own, this is a we program and not a me program.
-
My dad is a recovering alcoholic for 30yrs. Our family has had a lot of ups and downs including the death@of my brother from Cancer a year ago. He could have absolutely used alcohol as a coping mechanism but everyday he chooses to be sober.
-
Amen to that. Life is full of ups and downs and learning how to deal with those stressful and upsetting emotions and experiences is what we learn from, and staying sober while doing that is the challenge that we face daily. Life on life’s terms. Lots of love and respect to you.
-
I find it to be refreshing that we now acknowledge being sober as an accomplishment. Addiction use to be such a taboo just like mental illness. It is great we can have these conversations and find out we are not alone without struggles.
-
I am so glad it is no longer taboo to admit addiction! How many of us would still be hiding from it instead of addressing it otherwise??
-
For me personally, deciding to get sober allowed me to come face to face with what I was hiding from and that was that I’m Gay. I thought it would have been easier to drink myself to death, than to come out. Thank God I was wrong. Sobriety has saved my life.
