Tragic and totally avoidable.
Europe -- Italy and Germany come to mind -- and Japan began to create a lot of alternatives to ER/hospitalization for mild-ish patients. I wonder, to what extent, our ERs and hospitals are overburdened by these patients who could be treated elsewhere in a rational health system.
What did they think was going to happen? And where are these people supposed to go?
God bless the caregivers and first responders. @GovAbbott has given many of them a death sentence.
