I believe Daniel has to do that, since he was blocked by Trump, so he screenshots the tweets from a 2nd acct. Think about it: Washington correspondent of Canada's largest newspaper, blocked by the US president. (Unless something has changed in this regard...)

Not to mention the fact that his talking point (that the US was going to pay for something other countries weren't) was the opposite of reality - 172 countries are party to the Paris Agreement, and prepared to pay to mitigate and prepare for climate change. But not the US.
