I'm excited about these new types. String columns! NAs! `_markdown()` is a nice bonus

"final commit" looks like someone was feeling optimistic

It's nice having open source tools that people & companies give away for free, creating 100s of times more value than they keep... ... but it's also sad. How many more nice things could we have if it were possible to capture just a little bit more of the value you create?

(matplotlib again...) actually I'm inclined to write "axeses". Reducing ambiguity is more important than not looking stupid.

by is an excellent tutorial: refactors a simple example w/o any helpers to use torch.optim, DataSet, DataLoader, nn.Module, etc. a great way to understand what those helpers are -- I wish this was the first PyTorch guide I read

Also true: - the plural of "axis" is "axis objects" - the plural of "axes" is "axes"

On the airplane I read a bunch of docs. Here's what's important: `axes` is singular

I'm really loving this AWS workflow for . Just a few keystrokes and I'm in the console looking at the service I want.

I like to leave my PRs open as long as possible, in hopes that in the meantime someone will write a test that catches the bugs I'm introducing. (This did actually happen to me once on a PR I accidentally left open for 6 months.)

Does your project pass the Bechdel test? To pass, a function written by a woman dev must call a function written by another woman dev.

It's probably a job requirement for startup CEOs to be ridiculously optimistic. But don't bring that into compensation negotiations. "Yes, VCs valued our equity at X but (despite the worse liquidation preference) you should value it at three times that" <== is a major red flag

Game 3 was even more exciting, with a win that combined points transfer with a quirk of git merge conflict resolution. I guess I'm not surprised that most of the vulnerabilities so far have been in underappreciated aspects of git or GitHub. (5/5)

Game 2 was won exploited randomness based on commit IDs when Chelsea engineered a commit ID that made her win. This win required pushing the merge commit directly to master, despite master being a protected branch, surprising many! (4/5)

There was a separate vulnerability that would have allowed a unilateral win: I actually wasn't playing anymore when I won, and rejoined the game via the points-transfer mechanism. The same mechanism would allow anyone to add a bunch of puppet players. (3 of 4... err 5)

The first game I won via a bug where (a) point transfers only needed approval from the point-loser, and (b) points could go negative. Jeff and I flipped a coin for who would get the win, it came up my way, and he honored his end of. (2/4)
