@CDCgov is failing to communicate this. Running ads which focus solely on "high risk" groups to "avoid crowds" etc. I hate to feel this way about them, but rank incompetence comes to mind. We can't do this forever but need strict, universally applied, Social Distancing for now.

You know what else does that? Masks. For a disease spread by droplets, masks really drop the transmission (R0). For those places which are not actual hotspots, we really could be back to work next week if we had masks & made them mandatory for a period.

Most masks don't do that. They give a false sense of security. You would need specific masks and ensure people use them properly.
