Ah, no thanks. Mine is mine, your's is your's, and if a business wishes to help impacted employees at their expense great! Just don't expect it to come from others' pockets. For those who've worked long & hard to bank a reserve while others haven't - not going to happen.

I had something like that with a previous employer. It's called a sick bank. A healthy employee can donate a few days of accumulated sick leave to the sick bank. Those that have sickness due to some condition and have exhausted their sick days can apply for a few days as needed.

Since the two timing, Bezos lost half of his fortune to his ex wife he’s feeling a little too broke to be patriotic these days, why with only a paltry $100 billion left?

This isn't quite as ugly as I thought it would be, based on the headline. They're giving them unlimited unpaid time off and 2 additional paid weeks. That's actually pretty generous. *prepares to be pummeled by people who think Amazon should buy all employees a house & a car*pic.twitter.com/i63BssXegM

That would lead to people taking less (paid) vacation days which would probably result in them becoming ill due to lack of a break. People need time off. What happens if, after donating paid days off they, or someone in their family becomes ill? This is disgraceful and illogical.

Charitable of them, or they could allow more sick days
