        And at that conference Stalin served Ararat Armenian Brandy, Churchill loved it so much that Stalin sent him a case every month for the rest of his life. A case a month!! Fortunately thanks to my wife I receive a bottle for Christmas and one on my birthday

        Stalin occupied those territories, and was a complete bastard, so the choice was to either let him keep most of it or start a new, massive, bloody war. So unless you're suggesting we should have started WWIII in 1945, you're wrong.

        The time to have started planning to keep Eastern Europe free was in 1943/44. That was what the British wanted. Churchill wanted to invade the Balkans. Brooke knew that the war was effectively over, and that the struggle was with the USSR. But the Americans weren't interested.
