        @kuku27 Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer and navigator. In 1492, he sailed across Atlantic Ocean from Spain in the Santa Maria, with Pinta and Niña ships alongside, hoping to find a new route to India. Naive man thought America was route to India, #Explorer of what?

        @kuku27 Christopher Columbus (1451–1506) was a Genoese trader, explorer, and navigator. He was born in Genoa, Italy, in the year 1451. "Christopher Columbus" is the English version of Columbus's name. His real name in Italian was Cristoforo Colombo;in Spanish was Cristóbal Colón.

        @kuku27 Christopher Columbus Discovers America, 1492. Led three ships-the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria-out of the Spanish port of Palos on August 3, 1492. His objective was to sail west until he reached Asia (the Indies?) where the riches of gold, pearls and spice awaited.
