Poverty is a real problem and probably one that will never be solved — least of all by giving money away to people who are in it. The geeky $1,000-per-month gimmick seems to prove this wherever it's put in place. @eScarryhttps://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/andrew-yangs-free-1-000-per-month-welfare-scheme-was-tried-in-mississippi-the-results-were-not-a-surprise …

Finding ways to help people do for themselves is priceless it may require some up front money but with proviso it be repaid at some future date and in partial payments. That sounds more logical instead of just a handout which kills motivation

So the criticism here is that the poor single mothers in the study didn't save the 1000 a month or start a business in a 6 month period when they are raising a family by themselves. Instead they spent the money on bills and haircuts (who gets those?) how is this a failure?

THIS ARTICLE IS THE REASON WHY WE NEED UBI. Yes there was not a abstract direct change, but if u look at the sidelines at least 20 kids got a christmas present that they might not have. This is about a human centered economy where humans matter more than bottom line. #YangGang

"At the end of six months, none of the women reported using an emergency lender. Nearly all said they had enough money to buy school supplies, when fewer than half had said that before. They reported cooking more balanced meals, visiting the doctor and attending church more often"

Your argument that this study indicates UBI will not "fix poverty" is logically flawed. Low sample size, you claim it wasn't a scientific study but call it an experiment in your article, being a single parent is work, and 6000 bucks is not enough to life someone out of poverty
