OUR VIEW: As odd as it might sound at first blush — and America's purchase of Alaska also seemed very odd at the time — Americans of all political stripes would benefit from Greenland and its 56,000 inhabitants joining our national family.https://washex.am/31VaBRp

not to nitpick here, just a bit of nuance, Alaska was actually for sale. Greenland is not.

Greenland is not for sale, and I'm pretty sure it's 56,000 citizens are not interested in joining a "family" that cages children, separates parents from infants, loves guns more than children, and is too weak to remove a frighteningly deluded President. What ENTITLEMENT is this?

Could not have said it better myself, agree 💯 Jean! This promotion of white nationalism is the most disturbing trend in the USA right now. Trump already stated he wants people from Norway to immigrate to the US so this new idea fits right in with his admins racist views.

My word, are you still on about this? Why do conservatives have such a hard time hearing the word "no"?

They are trying to cover for Trump who’s so insane, he’s at the point of wearing depends and soft foods. Enablers are desperate to make it seem like he’s functioning. If Trump announced he’s now eating his own waste, they would declare it’s like steak and we should try it.

It's not for sale. They all have health care and a strong social safety net, why would they want to be worse off? 88% of Greenlanders are not white, so they likely would be deported from the new territory on President Steven Miller's orders.

Really? Would they be US Citizens with full voting rights, 2 senators, 1 member of the House and 3 votes in the Electoral College? Why not grant the same to Puerto Rico first? And what about DC? Or the US Virgin Islands? Or American Samoa? Or Guam?

Don't be silly. No way in heck Greenlanders (a territory whose citizens care deeply about climate change) would get the representation the GOP denies to Puerto Rico, Samoa, the District of Columbia, and as many Democratic voters in the states as they can possibly disenfranchise.
