I mean, I, personally, might recommend something like a pistol for home defense, you know, in favor of not shooting holes in my house, my neighbors' houses, innocent bystanders. You know, that sort of thing. -
The people on this thread are interesting. Half of these folks are gun fanatics who think anyone who's not as crazed as they are is anti 2nd amendment. The other half are so anti 2nd amendment they'd call a revolver an assault weapon.

They keep people alive aa much, if not more than people are killed by them. Self defense often goes unreported because of the laws. People are afraid to say they've used them.. others are afraid to use them because of the ambiguity of everchanging laws and interpretations of them
