“Galveston Police Chief Vernon Hale released a statement on Monday, expressing that he thought his officers used ‘poor judgment’ in Neely’s case.” This is cowardice in reporting and in leadership and our police deserve better from their chiefs and these “journalists.”

Once you've safely arrested the man and everyone is secure, there is NO excuse not to consider the imagery. Will people be inflamed at the imagery, Heck YES. and Police are supposed to THINK about how to DE-escalate situations. This was just plain stupid.
