I cant just walk into Canada or Russia. I would expect to get stopped. If I overstayed a visa in Europe, I'd expect to get deported. If I was truly seeking asylum, I'd apply the right way. Respect the rules and do it legit.

“Coming in without regulations” is simply not true. We should be accepting immigrants but in a legal way. Breaking the law puts immigrants in a tough position legally. They get off on the wrong foot and have to hide and lie about their status. Follow the law. But...

Illegal is not derogatory or dehumanizing, it is an accurate legal term for a person or persons who unlawfully (illegally) enter our country. Her term diminishes the unlawful act of illegally entering our country to nothing more than j-walking.
