I read that he was trying to illustrate how having credibility can act as a way of influencing people's opinions in a way that will have them believe something that is not true without ever scrutinizing what it is that they are reading.. That said.. NoK not an appropriate example

If he is looking to study the effects of confirmation bias.. I would hope it wouldn't have to involve the President and One of the World Communities most sensitive ongoing negotiation.. especially at a time of high emotions and uncertainty.. Stay with the Facts, Please..
