Baby-boom women were the first to warmly embrace divorce. If millennials were truly following in the baby boomers' footsteps, they'd get married, pop out a couple of kids, get divorced and use their exes as meal tickets for the next 18 years or so.

Is this implying women get degrees in order to get married? Or that women get degrees in order to benefit their marriage?

Question: I thought boomers were the parents--largely--of Gen X'ers. I am a boomer, and have a 21 year old son, but we adopted late (39 years old). Had we had children in our 20's as many do, we wouldn't have had a millennial.

If a woman does not marry, she must be able to financially support herself, which in today's economy, means getting a college degree. I come from a conservative background, & not all women who want to marry will find a "Mr. Right."
