If confirmed for the Federal Reserve Board, Cain largely would be performing a role he already performed a quarter century ago. An old Latin saying, meaning "We learn to do by doing," applies. Via @QuinHillyer https://washex.am/2UytbQ2

This is not how Cain's previous *experience* was explained on NPR yesterday. It sounded more ceremonial and a courtesy appointment than substantial work.

This article displays colossal ignorance of the Federal Reserve System. The regional bank chairs don't sit on the FOMC; only five of the regional bank presidents do.

Thank you. I conflated the president of the bank and the chairman. Correction in the works.

This is not an endorsement of him serving on the Fed, because, as I wrote, there are other reasons not to support him. It is just to say that his professional background is actually ample enough for the job.

I breathe out of my mouth and barely read at a 5th grade level and this is the kind of article that gets people like me to keep coming back to the @dcexaminer over and over again

Have you, Sir, considered applying for a senior executive position in the Trump administration? Any history of unmitigated, crude greediness that might bolster your cred?
