        It was a nice piece, my Grandfather served in the Navy in the Pacific ,and his Brother did also in both theaters. My Gpa served pre ww2 in china ,on one of the Gunship and later on the Langley, then went back in when war started as a Diver. His Brother 1/2

        Was a landing craft operator and was at Guadalcanal, then went and did same in the Mediterranean for Sicily, even still it was the same kind of attitude as your guy Lamers has

        Well the US is still characterized as a bad nation for killing civilians! But until then how many Chinese and Mongolian civilians died for the atrocities they committed before ww2!

        What do you mean by “he also had served south of Tokyo on Aug. 9, 1945”? There were no Americans “serving” or fighting on mainland Japan. And Nagasaki is 750 miles from Tokyo so the mushroom cloud would not likely have been visible
