More correctly stated: A "win" for AOC, a loss for about 25,000 New Yorkers, who would have benefited from the jobs that would have come to the state. I hope the voters remember this. They think they 'stuck it to' Jeff Bezos. They did not. The state of NY will feel it, though.

Every politician responsible for driving Amazon away will be reelected by a double digit landslide. This is what New Yorkers want and to quote Mencken: "Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard."

The irony is that this had nothing to do with AOC’s 14th district & will have zero impact on Amazon. Whereas the political fallout in New York, especially from Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney of the 12th district where Amazon’s planned to build, will linger.

Now that AOC has managed to step on her state’s Governor, her city’s Mayor, and a neighboring district’s Congressional colleague, New York politics is about to get very interesting. Especially as they are all Democrats.

For Cuomo & Blasio they fed the radical beast, and it came back to bite them. Fairly obvious their political control has taken a hit by AOC, and her followers.
