CNN has no legal right to have a specific person that the WH dislikes as the WH correspondent - it’s a privilege not a right. Freedom of the press doesn’t matter in this scenario - because there are still plenty of press still granted access AND the WH doesn’t have to let any in.

As a First Amendment lawyer, I’ve been pondering this all day. I am not sure Trump loses. The White House has a right to control some of what goes on in press conference. Would someone like Alex Jones have a constitutionally protected right to a pass?
And where do you draw the line? Acosta likes to make speeches not just ask questions.
If WH blocked CNN as a whole I could see them losing, but since many CNN reporters still have WH press passes and Acosta behaved terribly, I think WH will win.
@realDonaldTrump @dcexaminer again Trump is throwing his weight around. Meanwhile NOT MANY USA CITIZENS NOR OUR ALLIES EVEN LIKE THIS NATIONALIST “TRUMP.”
