I mean that makes a lot of sense. Big dairy wants this because they're losing a lot of money (and the FDA/USDA have long propped up the dairy industry in various, dubious ways). Peta wants this because dairy sucks (dairy has always sucked in various, dubious ways).

You know an industry is desperate when they are fighting over terms. Oat Fluid, Hemp Juice, Almond Beverage - I'll take any of them over cow udder MILK. Thank you, very much.

Cows, humans, and other mammals make *milk* for their own BABIES. Cashews make *beverage* for ME.

Not gonna happen, if they try then I would have to buy a cow.... Best thing is if she ever stopped producing milk.... Well, let's just say I wouldn't be hungry for quite some time!

Wow I didn’t realise mothers who breastfeed have their babies stolen by the dairy industry! Sarcasm aside I much rather drink Soymilk or Almond Milk than something far less appetising sounding. (They’re both nasty I drink Lactose Free)

Heck yeah. Milk is a dirty "four" letter word. Let that stinky industry own it. Just saying "milk" makes me cough up a loogie.pic.twitter.com/NyGpWPKX7V

Makes sense - Nutty liquid refreshment sounds way better than cancer-causing cow milk.
