No new Justices in election years? That was the Republican idea in 2016. Should it be the norm? Voters are split.https://washex.am/2tPpnuh

It's not a presidential election year. You realize there is a difference, right?

The thinking was: no new appointments at the end of a presidential term - because a new president may be coming in, and one did. If this applies to Congressional elections, we wouldn't have appointments half the time!

A president under investigation for treason should not appoint a justice. When the charges are announced by Mueller, everything Trump has done will legally need to be undone, for @realDonaldTrump is a foreign adversary destroying our country from within! #ImpeachTrump

Oh c’mon!! It was NOT “in election years” it was ‘in the last year of a presidency’. Big difference. There won’t be a new POTUS in 2019, geniuses.

You forgot one word "presidential". It was a presidential election year.
