I visited San Juan two weeks ago. Our tour guide told us repeatedly about the corruption of the government there. He took us to see the building they work out of. $10mil a year for upkeep. Said the “leaders” got $500 a day to spend. It was very shocking and sad. I pray for him.

...and yet, they blame Trump

This gentleman blamed the local government. He was kind to us,It was like he needed someone outside of PR to know what was happening. He even took us to see the governors house and the road in front of it lined with umbrellas that represented people who passed in the hurricane.pic.twitter.com/v58b2xJMSn

I say governor, that may not be her title. I don’t recall what he referred to her as.

Every Puerto Rican I know says the island is corrupt as hell. Every one. And they agree with Geraldo that most of the island was without power regularly due to corruption, incompetence, and neglect of the power grid. It's normal life there.

I hope it brings down the left in that area. They were disgraceful back in 2016 when good American Trump supporters were attacked and not protected by this corrupt mayor!

Ask anyone in PR and they will tell you the entire government there is corrupt from top to bottom. Hell, they needed armed FEDERAL MARSHALS to seize supplies being hoarded by the Power Authority just so the power grid repairs could be started after hurricane Maria

That’s why I left in 1988!! Yes the corruption is rampid in all levels, the infrastructure never fixed and the US keeps sending money for what—the bureaucracy and politicians stealing BIG time

Finally! This Mayor threw supplies in the dumpster rather than give them to those in need. Why? To make Trump look bad?

He's taking them all down, one by one. Patience is a virtue when you're draining the swamp and rooting out corruption...

It would be amazing to somehow be able to observe all the communications between the players in this historic case of political espionage.
