Always find it baffling far more people know what to do with a suspected heart attack but not when I have a seizure in public, considering the latter’s more common (I’m fine).

Where possible, let the person w/ epilepsy guide you & give them as much input as possible into the help/treatment they’re given. I’m never grateful for men patronising me & telling me my seizures look serious & I’ll thank them for calling 999. I don’t. Nor do the paramedics.

Great advice thanks Dawn, i’ve only seen one person having a seizure when I was a young spotty YTS, my colleagues delt with it well i recall. I expect people dont panic & call 999 to annoy you or Paramed’s, it can be reactionary (& you would do it for a H.Attack) & they mean well

there are different types of seizure
“thrashing” tonic-clonic seizure. They fall to the floor unconscious, jerking limbs, might bite their tongue:
DO
- cushion their head
- move objects away
- put them in recovery position
DON’T
- put anything in their mouth
