A man in Westford, VT spent $4K to build a giant middle finger on a platform in protest against the town for continuously denying his permit to build an 8,000 square foot building on his own property. He has 11 acres of property he wants to build the structure on so he can move and expand his business. He says they have it out for them, they said a review of the application for a building permit appeal found it did not meet regulations.

Talked to someone the other day who was buying Christmas decorations for the house... it was HOA mandated and non-negotiable.

I’ve gotten into trouble with the HOA in the summer because my grass wasn’t the HOA’s idea of the proper green color. I hate my HOA with a passion. They’re power mad and extremely difficult to deal (or live with.)

True. Very true. Unfortunately almost all of the houses I looked at (with old established water rights incorporated into their properties) were HOA’s. Water accessibility is a big deal out here too. There’s not much of it. Then they waste it watering ridiculous blue grass.
