Just finish some macro project. As for me, there are two limitations now: the first is the enum variant issue (see the syn data structures, ugh); and the second is the lack of reflection (though I think it cannot be a feature in the future also), so I cannot check types in macro

Have a look at serde. I think it is a way better solution than using reflection. Solutions based on reflection should be avoided in most cases.

Though am not familiar with the implementation of serde. But I cannot figure how can they do the type-checking in macro during the compile time. For Rust macro is syntactic rather than sematic, generally speaking, Rust cannot do type-chrcking in compile time

"Rust cannot do type-checking in compile time" definitely does not follow from from macros being syntax transformations. =D I assure you that if your derive(Serialize) data structure with Serde contains fields that are not serializable, the program will not compile.

Maybe I'm too fundamentalism on type-checking. But in serde, you can only get ``_IMPL_DESERIALIZE_FOR_NoSer::_serde::Serialize` is not satisfied` if your field is not Serializable, and the span is not point to the field. As for me, which is can do better

What I want is like `<some-field> is not work, the target trait/type is <some>, your type is <your-type>`, and the span is point to the field. Using a redundant type to hint users where is going wrong, I don't think it is a good idea...
