I just cancelled my card. I'm not going to argue 30 minutes with some super polite cupcake in Iowa and feel bad about myself afterwards for getting sharp.
-
When they asked for feedback, I said, "Having to call to cancel feels like 1995." She chuckled then caught herself.

Only because D's are HORRIBLE at straight talk about the issues in a way that moves voters. R's are very good at this.

Republicans have no problem lying and democrats have a problem telling the truth.

2. The electoral College has screwed this public thing up, weakened by the structure of the "state". Change is required to ensure that the lowest classes have some say in the running of the country and the ability to bring their interests to bear.
-
Stop with the electoral college blaming. Blame the candidate. She knew the system. She didn't try to win over votes, she felt entitled to them. High priced fundraisers over old fashioned hands on campaigning
-
I will not stop blaming the electoral college. The EC was supposed to protect us from things like trump. HC won the popular vote with good old fashioned campaigning and the EC screwed us. Numbers don't lie. End the Electoral College if it can't protect us.
-
Just as messed up as superdelegates who can ignore the majority and vote the other way.
-
Exactly. Super delegates won't be allowed to vote in the first round in 2020, These insiders, super delegates, who are free to back any candidate regardless of how the public votes, would no longer be allowed to vote during the first ballot of the presidential nominating process
-
No matter that they can’t vote in the first round, they need be completely abolished. Allowing one person to override the majority is the opposite of democratic and should never have been enacted in the first place. It’s no different than gerrymandering to cheat.

Same crap happened when Bernie was running and starting to win primaries. I think WaPo did something like 13 hit pieces on him in like 24 hour period at one point.

In a functioning democracy, it wouldn’t be a shock
@Ocasio2018 defeated Crowley. shocking is that a Wall Street-bankrolled corporate Dem like Crowley could constantly go unchallenged and win re-election in a working-class Dem district for the past 20 yrs. -D.Sirota -- nice tweet! - 3 more replies
