    @ChaosSpeeder OneNote 2010 client syncs to cloud/Skydrive. Works online/offline across multiple machines. That do it?

    Try the OneNote web app when it comes out on Windows Live. Same thing from a browser against SkyDrive.

    Actually OneNote was standalone only in 2003. Not included in any of the Office suites.

    I can't repro this. For me, OneNote opens the links in the default browser even if it's not IE. What's a sample link with issue?

    yes with OneNote 2007 people can work offline and sync and merge just happens. File shares or Sharepoint. 2010 Supports Skydrive

    re OneNote at home and work. You can put notebook on USB key and sync to work and home machine.

    @mishayul re onenote. It saves backups for you on local drive too. Go to File - Open Backup

    re RO OneNote on share. Yes. Use folder permissions in file sys. ON makes it RO for those with RO perms. View but can't edit.
