When Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and stated that “all men are created equal”, he neglected to articuate the words “IF THEY ARE LIKE ME”, ‘cause it was understood by all involved that women/POC didn’t belong with the men who were “created equal”.
