  It’s always a rough day. My dad is a firefighter so the first responders always have a huge place in my heart. This year, however, feels particularly weird with the insurmountable lives we’ve lost. Again, thank you for your service, David. Hope you’re well.

  Yeah doing alright. Honestly a little odd thinking back to a time when tragedy killed a few thousand and the whole country stopped and focused (even to excess) on the source of that threat.

  I know for me there is a contrast. we still grieve, and never forget, the 3.000 lost on this day, yet it is impossible for many of us to grieve the 200.000 who died because we haven't been brought together to lament as a nation.
