Belief: “This is true.” Opinion: “I feel that this is true.” Attitude: “Of course this is true.” Value: “This is true for me.”
This is a strangely difficult question to answer despite 2,500+ years of philosophy and 140+ years of psychology. So, I'm wondering what your personal answers are: What is the difference between a belief, opinion, attitude, and value?

That is, a belief is something you hold in your head as a fact. An opinion is something you’ve considered, a conclusion you’ve come to, and are open to changing. An attitude is something you embody, possibly unconsciously or without inspection. And a value is a personal truth.

Just off the top of my head. I'm not a philosopher or psychologist. A belief is personally held conviction that contains some element of faith. An opinion is a personal statement of judgment at least ostensibly based on evidence.

An attitude is an emotional or social manifestation of one’s beliefs and opinions. A value is something that one’s beliefs and opinions lead one regard as important to promote and maintain.

I could be wrong, but I believe opinions are the attitudes you hold toward different values.

Belief- intuitive conviction (based on an inner calling that feels right) Opinion- belief based on seemingly rational reasons ( & used by the ego to prove itself right) Attitude- behavioural orientation Value- moral compass (often unconscious, and given to us by society)

A belief is any factual statement about the world. Beliefs and knowledge are only distinct in terms of certainty, but are mechanically the same. A value is a goal you have for the world around you. To value human quality of life means you prefer a better QoL for all over worse.

A preference is like a value that only applies to you; you prefer a certain type of music, you value having it in your life, you do not need for that value to be shared among anyone else or affect anyone else.
