Once again the general public assumed that decision makers actually thought through an import net decision (logistics).Turns out they haven’t. Logistics plans and decisions should and should have been transparent and public to solicit feedback and foster accountability.

That's where Amazon and Walmart should come in. Their logistics network should be leveraged on.

How long does it take to receive a package via USPS these days? Private sector > govt with logistics due to better incentive models imo If the logistical side of the vaccine was better associated to the benefits society & the economy receive maybe this would be optimized
-
Agreed. If people were able to pay for vaccine, and pay directly to the producers of it (no government bureaucracy in between), market incentives would have already solved for this and anyone who wants a vaccine would already have it.

I don't think that's even the point. At least not only that. The science has been done by people who care and know better. The politics is being done by people who don't care and are mostly clueless about things other than money – that's why they didn't become scientists.

I think we are failing at politics not logistics (fedex et al are working fine, so are hospitals and other potential distro centers like pharmacies, groceries etc)
