it made me very happy to watch it. I will be watching it many more times. I'm writing my review now, which is hard, because the series matters a lot to me, and it was also very nice of Lana Wachowski to make a movie just for me

I think you can go into it with little memory of the sequels and have a good time. But I was thrilled by how much the film works to follow up the sequels and build out their lore, while also basically thumbing its nose at reboots AND delivering a super-swoony Neo/Trinity romance

it is very, very Wachowski, very love conquers all, very heart on sleeve, and very aware of the strange journey the series has taken in the public consciousness over the decades. damn. it's so good. I think so at least
