I get you wanna make history kid, who wouldn’t? But if you were TRULY looking to save lives and change things you wouldn’t START by trying REMOVE A RIGHT from the CONSTITUTION! You would start with something you might actually get to happen!!

And I support you in trying to make kids safer in school, they should be, but trying to remove a Constitutional right, I don’t agree with that. It wasn’t framed with the intention of DONT like it, chuck it! You remove too much foundation and you WILL not like the collapse.

Sensible gun reform isn't trying to remove a constitutional right. Not once has @davidhogg111 suggested guns be banned. He and his classmates are asking for common sense gun reform.

The factof the matter is that NOT ONCE has he mentioned the REAL problem because gun reform is NOT going to STOP these kids from exploding when they have had ENUF bullying and deaf ears in school & at home! Kids will still make bombs, use knives & so on. THATS the true issue!

We can worry about common sense gun reform and mental health support at the same time. Caring about more than one issue, and doing something about more than one issue, is possible.

It’s not about mental health support!! Wow!! It’s about RESPECT FOR YOUR FELLOW MAN AND THEIR DIFFERENCES! If the kid isn’t being tortured in school prob won’t shoot them!

I don't have kids. How do you suggest we implement the things you're talking about? How can you regulate better parenting? How do you force a parent to teach their child empathy?

Guns are not the problem. The NRA is not the problem. One problem is the criminals that actually dire the guns. Guns can't shoot themselves. Another problem is that people blatantly ignore the behavior pattern of a shooter and wonder why it happens. No reason to blame the NRA.

Can you please find me the statistics of how many times a gun laying on a desk or counter top went insane and started shooting everyone around it? I’ll wait.

Cute. I can tell you there are a few times when a gun has been used by someone who is too young to handle a gun, or even have the ability to understand what death means--and then they have injured or killed someone with that gun.

Ok perfect. Now, who’s fault is that? The big hunk of metals fault, or??? Maybe a parent? Think this stuff through. It’s too easy.

Well, there is something all these people have in common: a gun was readily accessible to them. To me, "common sense laws" mean that it's required to keep gun and ammo locked up, separately, so incidents like this don't happen.

Would you have those same “common sense” views if you were home alone one night and an intruder broke into your home? Or are those views only when you’re setting expectations for others?
