And the system is now set up so that even the most high minded and idealist politicans have trouble staying in office unless they start accepting money, too. So, instead of a democracy we have a government that does what the .01% want and no one else matters.

Cohen is not registered as a lobbyist. The companies paying him should have asked for proof. If they didn't, they knew it was not a lobbying arrangement but, pay for influence. In other words a BRIBE.
