I literally see people have competitions on FB to win AR15s from random contests. No one is checking those people. Just giving it away to a winner. But sure... No loopholes

Is this just misinformation? Or flat out lies? If you win a gun from any sort of raffle or contest, you get the gun from a FFL after doing a background check.

DID YOU KNOW??? The NRA is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization. It actually has 501(c)(4) status, meaning it is regarded as a “social welfare organization” by the IRS. 501(c)(4) status organizations are required to bring about civic betterment and social improvements.
