This is the best reason to ban them.

You do realize this chart shows 5 shootings that handguns or other guns were used. And had similar results right? You kinda made a case against yourself. And I’m sure if you showed all mass shootings. Your argument to ban assault rifles is void.

Also, faster doesn't always = more tissue damage. The faster a bullet is traveling at impact, the less it will expand. The less it expands, the less the energy from it is transferred into the surrounding tissue and the narrower (and less damaging) the wound channel.

I can shoot a .223 out of a bolt action rifle. And ARs come in numerous calibers, including 9MM (pistol rounds) and 22lr (rimfire). Yet you continue to call for the ban of the “Assault” rifle. Just go away already, dude.

It’s true. I don’t have to tell you how different this headline would read were it an assault rifle.pic.twitter.com/wXK6XFgLYV

First, no assault rifles have yet to be used in the US in an mass shooting. Second, the only reason the bullet out of a handgun has less energy than a rifle round, is barrel length. Third, even sporting rifles have only been used in approx. 1% of overall shootings, mass incl.
