In my opinion: We can still the lives of those in the future because simply a hand gun has about 1/3 the Energy per Bullet as an Assault Rifle

That's not accurate. Assuming you're referring to AR-15s, almost all are chambered in 223/5.56mm. Those produce around 1000 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle. It's not uncommon for handguns to reach or even top that. Yes, handgun bullets are slower, but they're much, much heavier.

The weapon on that false diagram of the Newtown massacre was not used. He has an AR in his vehicle but used hand guns. Putting out fake news doesn't help your argument.
