Russian infiltration into American gun culture is a very real and active thing. It's kind of a long story, but I was approached for a writing job by foreign actors who I'm 99% sure were Russian agents around the start of this year. The NRA is very certainly taking $ from Russia.

For the record, I declined the job because I did my due diligence, but on average, most of the rest of the American firearms community is really, really bad at due diligence.
