19 years and Congress has not learned its lesson that people’s lives are above green paper. My heart goes out to all those affected by this issue, especially those in Colorado that never got to see their diploma.

Thanks for sharing that article. I think service work would look a lot better on a college application than doing another skip school walkout .

Weird even those at Columbine are not in support of this walkout nonsense, they would rather people do something to be productive members of society.

My 13 year old wants to do this in Texas. she thinks she will be the only one to walk out. What advice can I give her?

Tell her to be brave. She might be the only one to walk out, but other kids will be impacted by her leadership - even if they don't join her. And tell her she has your support, even if her school administration punishes her.
