Reading 100s of newspapers from the 1800s, I know this: Towns actually had organized militias meant to be "mustered" as a US army in times of need: French, Spanish, native American, or other attacking forces. NOT random guys with stockpiles of guns.

Most towns had locked storage for their "armaments". That's why you still see old buildings in small towns with etched stone reading ARMORY. The
#2ndAmendment was NEVER meant to give weapons of war out indiscriminately.

What was written is factually inaccurate and no relation to reality. I thought you were in high school - doesn’t say much for the Florida educational system.

They also NEVER IMAGINED the kind of weaponry that now exists. Remember, they were dealing Anth muskets, a FAR CRY from an AR-15.

Since the majority of firearms made since about 1900 are just as capable of mass casualties as the AR, and since hundreds of millions exist in the US, then other school shootings are guaranteed until we protect them at least as well as our courthouses.

This will fail tomorrow if you misinterpret this. Founding fathers just fought a well-armed militia, their own government, the King of England's militia. The People's right to bear arms was put in place in case they ever had to do it again in this new thing called democracy.

BS. You want to shoot a bunch of federal agents as they walk up to your door? Get real. You are clinging to the delusions of yesterday.
