Decent colleges will honor grades that dip when students exercise their civic duties and are punished.. Shame on those BACKWARD thinking, UNSUPPORTIVE school officials. Students are supposed to come first. Marching for their lives is important. #NeverAgain

I'm proud to have stood with 35 new friends. Lindenhurst gives us 7 1/2 hours of detention for protesting because "it's code of conduct for cutting class" but lmk how kids leave everyday and there's no consequences

Proudly serve that detention like a badge of honor. Sometimes there are consequences that we don’t like for our actions but speaking out and acting for something you believe in is worth the consequence. You are strong and I would be proud to call you my child.

All students who took place in the walk out should be suspended. It was supposed to be in remembrance of the 17 people who lost there lives, instead it was a march against the NRA. Thank god for the school for having a backbone doing the right thing.

Palm Beach County, the south of this High School, “frowned upon” any actions as well. Teachers at my school had 17 mins of silence after school OFF CAMPUS.
