Rant: For most of Gen Z -America has been at war almost our entire life -Global warming -Daily we see the future of our country being buried with the young people that die from gun violence -Huge student debt -Many of us were evicted from college with a week notice
-We are disproportionately harmed economically by COVID because while many of us pay our own bills we don't get stimulus checks because we are claimed as a dependent.
-Our generation has been the subject of a discussing experiment to hollow out the public education system into a for-profit shell to make billions through standardized tests that really only end up being a measure of income inequality.
-We live in a surveillance state thanks to the 357 congress members and 98 senators that voted for the Patriot Act. -We have a president that tells people to drink bleach
Yet we are expected to solve all of these things while being told we have been through nothing. I however, have hope change will come because we have lived the consequences of intolerance and incompetence. Luckily we can fix these problems and others all we have to do is vote.
I’m 29 years old, have been through 9/11, the DC sniper, 2 wars, Katrina, Sandy, countless shootings, and COVID-19. Old agist people ain’t got nothing on me!
And I don’t want to hear how this pandemic is a worse economic blow for young people... you know, the ones that have 40 years to recover before becoming retirement age. #TrumpPandemicFailure is tough on everyone.
As millennial, I feel you. This is my 2nd economic recession (depression). I graduated from college in 2008 as the stock market came crashing down. I spent several years in a low paying job, while people that graduated after me in an better economy got high paying jobs.

2/ dead. I was called part of the Woodstock generation. Yet we too had hope. Then a president resigned & our new president wasn’t even elected. And the horrible recession. We had a new president who was a movie star and we became the Me Generation. Here’s where we need to come
