I thank my indigenous peers that brought my attention to Lincoln’s atrocities committed against native Americans. I’m deeply sorry for not acknowledging these crimes that I was unaware of until now. I will do better in the future.

I’m so glad you’re open to learning. All of our presidents have done bad things. Some have done good things too. But none has ever been good enough to fully understand and advocate for the full humanity of all people. Maybe someday.

I love Obama and think he was an amazing force for good for America—and he also perpetuated a variety of international war crimes, crimes against government whistleblowers, and extrajudicial maneuvers. I wish he hadn't.
