Good for them. Because I'm not allowed to take time out of the work day to vote. Election Day, regardless of the year, should be a national holiday. No exceptions.

Voting hours are before and after school. Also, they can use absentee ballots. That's why they need to not skip school. They should have thought of this!

This is amazing. At mine we got together and planned an unsanctioned walk out. I got chewed out. It was worth it, though. Glad Illinois seems to be taking things seriously. This should be the standard.

I'm old. The first time I voted was 1976 presidential election. Senior year of high school. We got half a day to go vote. Or we could vote early & work the polls and that counted as being in school. 1st time I worked the polls. And I still do every election. It's my civic duty.
